Your role

Do you want to keep criminals from abusing the financial system? Are you someone who likes to do the right thing? Do you know how to maintain independence and objectivity?

We are looking for someone like that who can:

• provide subject matter expertise in fraud, supporting US initiatives
• conduct forensic financial investigations of possible violations of Fraud and determine if a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR)
• prepare training and communication to colleagues and clients
• perform fraud risk assessments across business legal entities and programs, identify changes in risks and update a fraud risk profile and participate and lead fraud-related thematic reviews on both a regional and global level
• maintain regular contact with branch personnel to obtain necessary information about customers and account activities
• escalate unusual or suspicious activities
• complete UBS's annual BSA/AML/OFAC training

Your team

You will be working with the Financial Crime Prevention Team as a Fraud Investigations Officer for UBS Bank USA Inc. Our objective is to create an environment where financial crime is difficult to perpetrate and detected at the earliest opportunity in order to protect UBS clients and assets and provide optimum levels of shareholder and regulatory assurance.

Your expertise

• bachelor's degree in a relevant area of study required
• ideally 3+ years’ experience and expertise in Fraud
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Fraud Professional (CAFP) is a plus
• high level of motivation with strong project management skills
• strong and effective communication skills and comfortable communicating with stakeholders
• capable of challenging the status quo, driving change and demonstrate strong risk awareness
• results-oriented, assertive and self-driven
• experienced in driving change, collaborative and a team player
