About the stores
Specsavers in Lakeside first opened its doors in 2012. The store sits in a prominent position in the large and busy Lakeside shopping centre and is firmly embedded within the local community. There are 6 optical test rooms and 1 dedicated audiology room whilst a team of 45 call this store home. A rebranding and full refit is due early next year with fantastic new designs for the staff area and frame bars.
Less than a mile from Lakeside sits Specsavers Chafford Hundred store. This is situated in Sainsburys, a busy out of town superstore. Opened in 2021, this new store boasts 3 test rooms, 1 dual purpose room, has a dedicated team of 19 employees and works as a spoke to Lakeside store.
With plenty of parking in both locations as well as easy access to the A13 and M25, the stores’ location is perfect for those travelling in from out of town. Chafford Hundred train station and Lakeside bus station are both within walking distance from either store.
Specsavers in Grays first opened its doors in 2003 and sits in a central position on the High Street. The store has 3 test rooms and is spoke to Lakeside hub. A team of 19 dedicated staff call this store home. Looking to expand and improve the store, plans are in place to move to a larger property on the high street. A 5 or 6 test room practice to replace the current 3 test room store would be an opportunity to transform the existing established business and increase volume and sales.

Store locations
With over 250 shops, the popular Lakeside shopping centre attracts over 500,000 visitors per year. The community of Chafford Hundred has grown to the east of the centre since its opening in 1990. Situated north of the River Thames, Lakeside and Grays are only 40 minutes into London by train and towns such as Dartford to the South and Romford to the North are less than 15 miles away.
The area also boasts 18 miles of beautiful riverfront, country parks and nature reserves as well as a water parks, rivers and beaches.

The new Retail Partner will be a proven retailer with experience in Optics. The right person for this position will be confident, possess a strong worth ethic and a willingness to succeed.
