Job Description

This is an opportunity to design, deliver and support TETRA solutions to our customer’s problems using Motorola’s latest land mobile radio solutions. You will join a small team who provides specialist support to our Channel community in Europe, primarily within UK, Ireland, Nordics, DACH and Eastern Europe.

Job Objectives

  • Sales Engineer responsible for TETRA support through the channel in Europe. The focus is on TETRA systems, TETRA subscribers and associated services.

  • Support the team to grow TETRA Systems and Device sales through Europe and beyond.

  • Support the sales team engaging in the sales process.

  • Support our key Channel Partner Network in the region.

Main Tasks

  • Technical support to the sales team and associated partners including first line support for technical issues with TETRA Systems, Base Stations, Device and System programming, associated programs.

  • Ensure support processes are maintained between Motorola and the partner community.

  • Design and technical support to Sales team for TETRA requirements.

  • Support presentations, events and partner locations when required.

  • Preparing technical quotes for the sales team.

  • Train channel partners at a technical level.


Basic Requirements

Whilst this primarily is a Pre/Post Sales role, it is expected that suitable candidates will have experience in the design and deployment of complex IT solutions in order to have credibility with potential customers.


The following skills are essential:

  • 3 years working as a supplier of solutions TETRA technology, including understanding of attributes such as geo-redundancy, data capability, capacity planning and subscriber programming

  • Motorola Solutions product portfolio experience and/or relevant experience in key competitor offerings

  • Good working knowledge of the latest IT and IP networking technologies

  • Fluent in spoken and written German and English, with the ability to clearly document technical solutions to partners and customers

  • Good listening , negotiation and presentation skills

  • At least 5 years of experience in industry

  • Understanding of radio communications technologies and total customer solutions;

  • Goal and result oriented way of working combined with team spirit;

  • Good user knowledge of PC-software for office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, e-mail, Internet/Intranet).

Education:

Successful candidates are likely to hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, OR A two year technical degree with a minimum of three years experience, OR A minimum of five years experience working in an external customer interfacing role specifically in the Telecommunications or IT Industry.

Location/Travel:

The position home based, with up to 30% located at Motorola Solutions or customer premises within the region as required for specific projects.
